Sketches - Cairo Portraits
Sorry people. This has been way overdue. On my trip to Cairo I did manage to do some quick portrait sketches. Not as many as I’d like, and not exactly the kind of subjects I was looking for, but it’s still good practice. Anyway, just to show you that I did stick to my plan and haven’t completely neglected to sketch. Cairo is a great place to draw. If you can afford it, just sit down somewhere, kick back and start drawing.

Great work Ahmad! Did you use pencil or did you also add other medium?
I can’t help but smile whenever I look at your work. All the rest are small except for the baby sketch who despite of his age has the biggest picture.
I wonder how long it took you to sketch each people. Were those ladies passers by and then you just imprinted their figures on your mind then proceeded to sketching? That’s amazing!

I really like these sketches, so simple yet very effective! I am doing A-Level art and this has been a big starter for my portraits A2!
Thanks a lot!
