OK. I have a few things related to the new project I mentioned before (the comic) that I wanted to show you, but unfortunately I can’t log into my account and upload the files now. It seems, due to some malicious brute-force hacking going on, the website provider promptly sent out an e-mail informing all users to change their passwords. And of course somehow I missed it.
So by default they’ve given me a temporary password for me to log in and change and everything is good right? Wrong. In order to retrieve the temp password, I had to provide some details including a portion of my credit card number which I used to purchase my site. What could be simpler than that right? I wish! The next revelation is this: that exact card expired in June 2006. What a bummer, huh? Now the number they have on file doesn’t correspond with the replacement card I have on me. Naturally, I forgot to update them when I received it. And what did I do with my old card you ask? I cut it up and threw it away months ago.
OK. So it IS mostly my fault. Actually, I applaud the service provider for taking all the extra precautions necessary to protect their customers. I’m super happy with my website plan, and they have been nothing but excellent in their service.  I’ll just have to wait to see if I can furnish some other pertinent information to those guys that will help me regain access to my website and allow me to finally show you some of my project’s progress. I have a couple of character sketches and a few draft pages of layouts drawn up. Really!
