My 3D Short Film: “Wait, Mister!”

This little short is an animation I created for my final Masters project at the NCCA, Bournemouth University, UK in 2006. It’s a story about snobbish Mr. Knox who, while waiting at the bus stop for his routine morning ride to work, encounters a friendly street urchin named Kid. I wanted to tell a story of one man’s prejudice and hope the audience can relate to the situation and maybe even gain something out of it.
I did everything (from story concept to compositing) except the audio and music. For those curious, you can catch brief write-ups of the entire process in my production log. Much as I am pretty happy with the result at the time, looking at it now I see a lot of things that can be done to improve it - be it concept or execution. I’m resisting the urge to mess about with it further though. It was a wonderful learning process making it, and I received tons of help from friends and family throughout. I hope to take what I’ve gained from my experience and do better on the next one.
